meet the Creators

North City Studio is the creative vision of Megan Hooks and Jessica Peterson who have a been in the photography business collectively for more than 20 years. Jessica and Megan met and have been close friends after admiring each-other’s work on social media and discovering they were neighbors. In March of 2020 (yes that crazy month) they, along with 5 other photographers opened their first studio in Seattle. After weathering a global pandemic and seeing that even in the hardest times, the studio was a fantastic addition to their businesses, they decided it was time to create a space to share with more photographers closer to their homes north of Seattle.

North City Studio has come from a long time dream of owning a community space for photographers to expand their creativity, continue to operate during the PNW’s cold and rainy days and gather to learn from community leaders and each other.
